I am a fan of Somavalliappan; His ideas are great;His presentation is exemplary;I never miss his videos.The problem in Tamilnadu is mostly people are interested in Real estate & Gold; Only a very less number invests in financial assets unlike North, where people invest in Shares & Mutual funds.

Mr.Muthukrishnan, I am a Company Secretary I totally disagree with you - to be brutally honest 1) Real Estate & Gold shall stand as assets on "Long-run". To be clear, it stands for generations. 2) Shares, Mutual Funds, other securities are subject to market risk i.e., if the company in which the money is invested gets bankrupt or loss in business then share certificates & documents are "just" paper. Tamilnadu & Kerala are still stronger & self reliant because of savings in metals such as Gold & Silver and real estate and RD, FD in Post Office & Govt. Nationalized Banks. Unfortunately, in cities, most of the assets such as house (Apartments) are "artificially" depreciated which is pathetic. Vande Mataram
