Would all the reactionary forces be equal if they are Symmetrical? I can't find a sample problem online for such a case. The problem I'm working on has a distance of R1 > R2 = 6m ; R2 > R3 = 3m ; R3 > R4 = 6m The thing that's bothering me is the 3m distance, would it make R2 and R3 different with R1 and R4?

It is better to tell whether it is a statically determinate structure or indeterminate structure then you can tell the bounday conditions for statically determinate structures. Your points are ok but for a pinned joint support you should mention the horizontal reaction and how it is going to zero.

Hi, Is Anti clockwise for moments taken as positive according to Eurocode 3? Also is the point load taken as the design load? As normally you'd have to multiply the load by a partial factor (given by EC3) to find the design load.

Hi Artika. R_A is drawn as a vertical upwards reaction. Calculated R_A value is a positive value. That confirms R_A is a vertical upwards reaction and drawn direction of R_A is correct. This is a simply supported beam and the direction of R_A is expected to be vertical upwards. This video might help you understand the concept: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIStmnehjtCCgtU
