The easiest way to do this is to prememorize all 100 year values from 00 to 99. Then I just add that to the century code and reduce mod7 and finally add that to a prememorized value for each of the possible 366 dates. For example, June 15, 2012 would simply be: 2+2+1=5, so Friday! June 15 always has a value of 2 (prememorized) 2000's has a century code of 2 and, year 12 always has a value of 1 (prememorized) 2+2+1=5, Friday! Anytime leapyear happens just subtract one from the answer for January or February only, all other months stay the same! I calculate any day of the week using my method in less than a second, almost instantly to 2 seconds tops if I'm thinking a bit. I do both the Julian and Gregorian calendars in both AD and BC infinitely into the past or the future.

Every 28 years the calendar repeat itself. Hence the first step for year should be to subtract 28, 56 or 84 from the last 2 digits of the year. Adding 25% to get extra numbers is amazing. Wish I knew why it works
@gardeningwithhamzaandmuaz9385
@gardeningwithhamzaandmuaz9385 2 ай бұрын
It's simple, really. See, a normal year has 1 odd day, and a leap year has 2 odd days. So, let's take the example of a period of 4 years. In those four years, one is bound to be a leap one. (Note that 25% of 4 is 1.) So, we have to add 2 odd days for that leap year. (But we have already counted 1 of those 2 days in the main 4 years.) So, we will take 4+1 (25%) = 5.
@gardeningwithhamzaandmuaz9385
@gardeningwithhamzaandmuaz9385 2 ай бұрын
Basically, 25% of a period of years are leap years, which have 2 odd days, so we have to add those extra odd days, which we can add by calculating 25% of the years.

Jan 1, 2030. My method requires a bit more memorization but the payoff is super fast and easy calculations like sometimes less than one second maximum 2 seconds! For me a date like Jan 1 is a prememorized value of -2, 2000-2099 has a century code value of 2, and the year 30 always has a value of 2. So, in any order i add -2+2+2=2, or even more advanced, looking ahead that the -2 cancels out with any one of the other the values of 2, so just 0+2=2, or simply 2 without considering the cancelled values, so Tuesday! And whenever leap year, no need to worry about odd days or anything special just subtract 1 from the final answer if January or February, March thru December no changes are necessary.

I do other cool tricks that aren't heard of very often, for example since this calendar math can be viewed as just a simple addition problem, we can also solve for a missing value using subtraction! For example, if we already know the day of the week to be Friday for example, we can solve for a possible month/months or even a date from 1 to 31 or even a possible year or century. Example: Which month or months did Friday the 13th fall on in 1899? 1899 was a Tuesday year (-2+4=2) or (5-3=2). So, Tuesday was the 10th since 3 days later was Friday the 13th. So, 2+13+x=5 (Friday) x=4 because 15+(-10)=5 -10+14=4 Mod7 arithmetic Only January and October had a month code of 4 😁. So it only happened twice that year, in January and in October. Also we can say more intuitively that since 1899 was a Tuesday year, and Friday being 3 days later, which month/months had the Doomsday of 3,10,17,24,31? and obviously that is only January and October. If the question changed to what were all of the Fridays in January and October for example in 1899? We can say "the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th" If someone were to instead ask for example on Friday the 13th from 1883 to 1900 what year/years did that happen? We can say "only in 1893 and 1899" In this situation we just needed to find the missing year code of (4 or -3) and only 93 and 99 have that year code in that date range. Likewise, we could have instead solved for the century 😉 also if already given a year.

I just simply memorized all 366 possible dates as a value from -3 to 3. Then I just add that to one of 4 possible century codes of 2,0,-2, or 3 and finally add that to a prememorized value for each of the 100 years from 00 to 99. For example, my birthdate of March 19, 1982 goes: -2+3-3=-2 so Friday! Or shortcutting, i just cancel the 3 and -3, and -2 is Friday!

Too much to memorize. About 65 years ago this is what I had learnt in school. Today’s Tuesday June 13, 2023. We want to know the day in 2015. Step 1. 2023-2015=8 Step 2 number of leap years: Take the year before 2015 which is 2012. 2020-2012=8 8/4=2 leap years Add to step1. 2+8=10 10/7 =1 and remainder 3. Go back 3 days from today Tuesday. Answer is Saturday. I’ve done this for the viewers. Hope this helps.

Can you do July 4, 2024. It's a leap year, so based on your computation, you have to deduct 1. So 24 x 1.25 = 30, then subtract 1 which is = 29. Then 29+5+4 = 38. 38 divided by 7 = 5 with a remainder of 3. So it should be Wednesday. But actually, looking at the calendar, it is actually Thursday. Can you explain further? Thanks!

For Year Code And For Example 2061, You Just Found 25% Of 61, And You Didn't Divide It By 4... 25% Of 61 = 15 and 61/4 = 1 61 + 15 + 1 =30 77/7 = 0 0 Will Be CODE For 2061
@dhruveshjaithwar7927
@dhruveshjaithwar7927 2 жыл бұрын
Finding 25% of a number is the same as dividing the number by 4 because 25% is 25/100 which when simplified is 1/4 which is dividing a number by 4. So, 25% of 61 or 61 divided by 4 is 15.25 which is 15 so so 61+15= 76/7 gives the remainder of 6 so the year code for 2061 is 6

I am guessing the month table already accounts for -1. And I think -1 applies for jan and Feb according to the table
@fazle47
@fazle47 2 ай бұрын
In the example he used January 1st 2032, there he had to subtract -1. You would also need to do it for 1st of February 2032. Basically for any date on January and February in 2032 you would need to subtract -1. Now move on to the rest of the months for example March or April or May in 2032, you will notice that you don't need to subtract -1 anymore. So I think if you are using the month table table shown in the video you don't need to worry about -1 as the -1 is mentioned in the table
