What s the difference between total axial load on column and column working load? I don't understand why it needs to be divided by safety factor 1.5 and then times safety factor 1.1 again. Wouldn't it better to use the axial load directly to determine the size of footing?

Nice video and useful indication...just a question about the reference load to consider in the last step of sizing foundation...why did not consider 857kN , but 571? So why the working load instead of the Total one? Is it a mistake to consider the bigger one? Thank you
