What's your take on using 6inches hollow blocks to run interior and exterior partition for a story building?
@raisetheline6 ай бұрын
Should be find as long as you have structural columns in between, 6” block is common on high rises
@ChimdiAjaero5 ай бұрын
sorry for the delayed reply.. this is based on the structural engineers specifications but typically , 9inches is used on the exterior and 6 inches or 4 can be used in the interior. If u have a framed structure ie post and beams, 6inches is fine both for exterior and interior

Good morning sir, am I to calculate the external blocks and internal blocks same way you calculated the area of blocks and the area of wall and multiply by 2 to give the total quantity of blocks needed for a building?
@ChimdiAjaero5 ай бұрын
goodmorning. I would say just calculate the surface area of the walls independently or get the entire length of the wall and get the height to get the surface and you are good to go

@ChimdiAjaero5 ай бұрын

@sb41474 ай бұрын
That seems wrong! You did not take into account the amount of mortar
