I only research drought in 1 year (2023), so are the formulas for calculating TCI, VCI, SAVI, WSVI, TVDI different when calculating for 1 period (eg 2008-2023)? Q2. I would Like to generate some TCI, VCI, SAVI, WSVI, TVDI maps for my study region, which is positioned between three Landsat scenes. Which method suits: 1) compute TCI, VCI, SAVI, WSVI, TVDI for each Landsat scenes and then mosaic or 2) Mosaic bands separately and then performed TCI, VCI, SAVI, WSVI, TVDI

For three consecutive Landsat scenes, I suggest if you use a much simpler tool 'merge' raster in QGIS. Unless there is cloud cover around edges it will simlessly merge your scenes and you can calculate any of these indices.
