Why don’t calibration solution kits come with the Kai system at purchase? My pH sensor out of the box is reading at a pH incompatible with life, so it was not correctly calibrated when shipped.

We have reached out to you on email to help assess your pH situation. We don't send out calibration kits with KAI, since we calibrate all probes in-house before they are sent out, as part of our testing process. If a faulty probe sneaked through our testing, it certainly qualifies for an exchange.
