Hi Fionilla Ladek, thank you for asking. Double-check that you haven't signed up with another provider. Many times you can access a service on your iPhone so it seems like you should be able to cancel it from your iPhone, but you actually signed up using Amazon or Google or some other service provider (like direct from the app/service's website). If you didn't pay for it through the Apple Store, this won't work. All that said, you could backup your data, delete the app, then delete the remaining data and try reinstalling the app. Just a thought, but please do a backup before you delete. I hope that helps. Hi James, thank you for asking. As far as I know, you can't remove them. They eventually fall off, but Apple seems to leave them "just in case" you want to change your mind and resubscribe. Hi there. I'm sorry but this is outside of what I know. I would start (if you haven't) with getting a valid CC associated with your Apple ID. Possibly use your computer and use the "Music" app then go to the iTunes store and update your CC. Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Sign into your Apple ID and then cancel. If after that it appears in active, you likely paid for the month. Next month it should move to expired.

Well, they've done great for most, but I'm going to guess that you signed up via a different service than Apple. Double check your other providers, like Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc and see if maybe your subscription is housed there. Not all subscriptions accessible from your iPhone are necessarily through Apple. Hope that helps.

Hi Semi, everything you're describing sounds correct. You should have the use of the service until your year is up, at that point the app may try to auto-renew your service. Ahh ha! I'm going to guess, and this is only a guess, that you are not actually subscribed through your iPhone, but instead are using or viewing a service with your iPhone. For example, KZbin TV or Amazon Prime Video. Double check this and let me know. You'll have to cancel through those services instead of with your Apple ID.

Okay so tell me if I’m right. I accidentally paid for a premium YEARLY subscription for the app. I think I cancelled it since I went to settings however I didn’t receive any emails about it. On the app it says the cancellation is PENDING. I still have the premium access. I did hear tho that if it’s a yearly subscription and it’s been already paid I will have the premium version till the next bill even if it’s cancelled. Is it true? Do I have nothing to worry about, I just wasted money and am left alone w this premium subscription?

Hi there, yes. I believe you've correctly outlined how the system works. You may have use of the app until the next billing cycle, at which time it should move to the expired area and no longer work.

Hi there. Apple in all of their wisdom decided to move it in iOS 14. What do you need to do is go to the App Store click on your profile icon then click on manage subscriptions. You should see your screen that is the same as my video from there forward. Thank you for commenting and asking.

Hi there. Is it by chance in the "expired" subscriptions area? Also, this only works for Apple products, so hopefully you're on an iPhone. Google services via an Android phone won't work with this. However, it does sound like your subscription is canceled. You are probably either in between billing cycles, in which case it won't disappear until your next bill or you have it in the expired subscription area. Can anyone help me I used a visa gift card with barley any money to get free trials for multiple apps and they expired but didn’t charge the gift card because it had no more money on it but as soon as I put my new debit card into my phone it started charging me for every expired subscription one at a time even though I didn’t want it to and I have to ask for a refund every time.

Hey there, that is quite the interesting situation. Couple of tips that I would suggest although I’ve never run into this. First of all don’t ever pay with a debit card for anything that is reoccurring. You have no recourse except to get them to stop billing you versus paying with a regular credit card you can get help from your credit card company to stop the billing. What I would try if you continue getting billed, is to re-subscribe and then cancel again. It seems like you are caught in some sort of a weird loop between two payment methods. Many times you can access a service on your iPhone so it seems like you should be able to cancel it from your iPhone, but you actually signed up using Amazon or Google or some other service provider (like direct from the app/service's website). Hi there. Unfortunately, if there is a way to cancel immediately I'm not aware of it. The service seems be centered around your billing cycle. So, a monthly billing means it will cancel at the next month's bill.

Hi Carol, thank you for asking. What you’re describing sounds like it may be something you signed up for on yahoo‘s website. If it’s not showing up in your subscription area on your Apple ID, typically that means that you signed up through third-party or a different website. Even though you’re paying with the Apple card yahoo is apparently charging you through a different service. Please let me know what you find out.

@@358studios You we’re right - it took me two hours of searching but I finally found it through Yahoo. Actually Apple support (and your video) started me down the right path - but my first obstacle was Yahoo doesn’t provide “free” support neither thru chat, email or phone. They also don’t provide order # or phone # on my credit card statement. And there were no “my subscriptions” on Yahoo account. I found a very old email from Yahoo with a free trial and a toll-free number (Apple’s suggestion) and lo and behold the charge generated from this free trial I apparently didn’t cancel. It seems deceitful that Yahoo makes it so hard to cancel or find out how to contact them. If those zillion steps didn’t work, Apple Security was going to investigate as fraudulent charge on my card - thankfully they didn’t have to. And your video was extremely helpful - I found two other subscriptions I forgot about and cancelled them. Thank you!

@@358studios there was just this app that I downloaded a few weeks ago, that gave a trial version and also a pay for the premium or pro version option. I never did actually sign up or click subscribe, but I did hit all the “ok” and “next” buttons and all that good stuff. But after a few days since the app was janky and not working as I’d hope I just deleted it from my iphone. Now when I go into the setting where u show on ur video, it says I don’t have any subscriptions, but when I go into the app store and click on my apple id pic and and purchased apps, its there. Or do all once downloaded apps show as purchased, no matter free or paid? I did all of this on one, same phone and account. So don’t think it would be different service provider. It seems that once they have a valid payment method they don't like to let it go. To fix this, you'll need to add a valid payment method, cancel any subs you don't want, and go from there.

You should be able to cancel before you're charged (24-hours prior), but as for renewing a trial and repeating the process, I'm going to guess that most developers have thought about that.
