One of your best vids to date. It's obvious you guys put a lot of work into producing this latest episode of GH, and I hope you both know that I for one really appreciate it. You two have also done so much for the memory and legacy of Charles Messier, and that is simply beautiful and deserves the highest praise. Well Done you two, you're flying high! Wes, Liverpool UK.

Unofficially tried to see how many in one night. Didn't have a plan so didn't even come close. Got like 60 and then fell apart. Was using my 12" Orion dob with Intelliscope and my favorite Williams Optic 25mm SWAN. I was in Carbon County Wyoming in Bortel way dark. So dark that the Milky Way could nearly cast a shadow and the constellations were practically indiscernible due to the amount of visible stars. Miss those days. Now moved 120 miles north of that location and have a backyard observatory where it's plenty dark and a very short drive can produce the same Bortel way dark skies if I want. Having a backyard observatory kinda makes you lazy though. May have to pack the dob out there with a plan and try again.

Now you guys can finally finish your messier catalog of images in 1 night! Lol. Awesome video, and I love the background lights, probably Dalia's touch.

M110 you misread as M10. Just a slight correction. Great video! 💫✨🔭💖

Waiting until 2 am to view the southern objects is what stops some. I am retired and can sleep all day if I want to. My problem is I only have manual mounts and it ain't going to happen in one night. Takes three nights with proper techniques. Key is a magnetic angle finder to get on the right altitude and a good compass.

Depends on how far north you are as some of those low one's like M7,etc in Scorpius and Sagittarius are very tricky and they must be very low from Paris but there wasn't any light pollution in Messier's times.I doubt that you can see M6/7 and so on from Paris now due to their low elevation and the light pollution.

Does it matter officially if we get multiple Messier in one shot? Or do they have to be isolated? Personally I’d rather combine the ones that are close to each other and just give the exposure more time to develop the lot.

The purists would say that it's not a true Messier marathon if you use a go-to mount. Using a go-to is like running a regular marathon on a bicycle. It's star-hopping or nothing. (And no, I've never completed one, although I tried once.)

40% of Messier objects are clusters. probably more so it's kinda boring. caldwell is much better for astrophotography imo
