(I use decomposed leaves 50% ) + ( equal parts of cow dung compost or any good compost I can find + tree bark chips + garden soil 50%) works well for me I am from assam.. I will try this as well thank you.

Thank you so much for your knowledge, you mention a few times the months of the year which are best for whatever you are doing, I live in Perth West Australia where it gets very hot (dry heat ) in Jan through Feb and early March, I successfully protect my Amelia’s With shade cloth, I also have a very small but adequate potting shed, I am looking forward to trying your cutting’s advice We are just into autumn here , June,July,august autumn, sept, oct, November, spring, dec, Jan feb, summer etc, Hope you can help, thank you

I think you can use soil acidifier or just a top soil from underneath of a pine tree (for a pot or two).

You could use fir or hemlock mulch. Just make sure you sift the dust particles out

He said to do the cuttings in june-july(Monsoon/ rainy season) and to do the repotting in february. So probably you can do the cuttings in your rainy season and the repotting 8-9 months later.

There's something here called "pine fines" which are small pieces, don't seem as fine or dark in color as shown here, but maybe pine fines smashed up? Just a guess hoping to help and curious about same. 🙂

How do collect or make pine dust? I live in the area full of pine trees but haven't seen it. The main problem I face is that I am unable to make soil acidic, so I have to buy low pH growing medium mostly made of peat moss and perlite.
