I didn't know how to trim my Sunfinity plants until I watched your video. Nice close up shots make it easy to understand. Thanks.

Wonderful tutorials! Is it necessary to snip leaves that are browning as well?

Where do you find your miniature container sunflowers 🌻 My wife passed away last year and they would be perfect for her cemetery plot each year. She loves sunflowers 🌻 😢
@GreenBeeExplorer Жыл бұрын
You can find them a little later in the summer season at garden centers. I found these at Home Depot.

Your video is exactly what I was looking for ! Only wish I had seen it first. I might ask though what do I do with the deadheaded flowers? Can I still save the seeds or should I compost them maybe? I’m a garden novice.
@GreenBeeExplorer2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can compost. Let the whole head dry out in the sun. If an seeds developed then you can get those. But then let the seed dry too. If in moisture, they will mold.

How frequently do you water ?

Thank you for watching. I am so glad I could help you out. The old blooms I would dry out and save the seeds.

I don't know if you will read this, but I have a question. I just started to germinate my dwarf sunflower seeds. would it be fine if I snip the leaves before the flowers sprouts, because I'm trying to make it as short as possible (around 5-6inch) 😅😅 would this be possible?

Even with deadheading I still don’t have nearly as many blooms as I did when I bought it. I have bloom booster fertilizers I use as well. Plant foliage is good and the plant is healthy, just not a lot of blooms. Any help?
@GreenBeeExplorer Жыл бұрын
It takes time. But you will get continuous blooms.

What does it mean when some of the petals are curling, looking droopy and soft, and slightly browning at the very tips? What can I do to fix this? Thanks
@himawari.5203 ай бұрын
my mother's orchid used to be like that because of either overwatering or sunburn. I managed to revive her plants by making a mixture of neem oil + gentle dishwashing liquid soap (non-antibacterial) + water & spray it onto the leaves (both sides) when it's early morning or late evening (before sunset). I prefer before sunset. *in the original recipe, it should be castille soap, but I use dishwash liquid soap because castille soap is unavailable in my country*
