A keeper of fish and reptiles, I’ve recently decided to up my plant 🪴 keeping to augment the other hobbies. This is a plant my grandmother kept in the 1960’s. I’m just now adding it to my collection. Thanks 🙏🏼

I just seen your video clip on the Ira scene herbstii. What I need to know is the bottom leaves are looking a little old and ragged is it safe to clip them off and I don't have Morning Sun in my area only hot afternoon sun so what's the best option of trying to get beautiful foliage out of it

Thanks ! good comprehensive ! i need to ask two questions, my flat has back balcony and thus it is moist and chill and sun only comes at 12:00 till 13:00 These plants leaves fell and the stem got so saggy it touched the soil. like it is dead. I have two stems left and no idea what to do. There are no leaves left on them. Pls guide.

1 hour sun means it would not be a very dry place, I would prefer indoor plants like aglonema, philodendrons, monstera that dont need sun but will thrive in light and also when there is not much sunlight, please do check the soil before watering.

@@MMMPlants Thank you so much ! winter effects appearing, trying to save my plants but the leaves are turning yellow and falling, i need to buy winter loving seasonal plants. Aprajita leaves falling and i am soon gona see its steam only... Winter cold and breeze is killing my plants, i can not bring them in door nor can i cover them as they will be suffocated from sun light one hour sun and also they will be more soggy...

Hello. My plant was a bright pink and that's why I bought it. Now with sun exposure turned dark green. Keeping in the shade has not helped. How do I get my colour back ?

Hello, thank u for the video! However I have some questions. I saw u cut a long stem and removed the leaves from the lower stems. But u also stuck some short “top cut” stems with several leaves directly to the soil. Will that make it difficult to produce root since they have so many leaves? Any help would be appreciated!
@MMMPlants2 жыл бұрын
Hi Morris, Sometimes it doesnt and sometimes it does! Good to have a few leaves for sure maybe 5 to 6 and proceed with propagation 😊

Very informative video ... Thank you so much. I have a question. I recently received one each of the red and green. The leaves are very very tiny. My friend told me it’s because she had them in direct sunlight. What do you recommend to produce larger leaves? Is it a matter of just feeding and putting them in morning sun / afternoon shade? Thanks again.
@MMMPlants3 жыл бұрын
A lot of light does result in big leaves, and also some fertilizer like compost! Mine gets morning sun for 2 hours or so and then shade but still indirect bright light!
@maryjoybermas64393 жыл бұрын
Beautiful plant.. ❤..I tried to propagate my bloodleaf twice unsuccessful 😞 i will try again to propagate it using water propagation..
@MMMPlants3 жыл бұрын
Sure, do let me know how you go. You can propogate and plant in a mixture of cocopeat and compost. That helps.

You can propagate it from a point from where you see a few nodes shooting out!

ı see the same problem with your plant. Some of the leaves are damaged, especially the tips becoming curled and brownish. Why?
