They are tropical fish. The environment they came from rarely even gets into the low 70s. They also need a substrate, made out of mixed rubble and sand. I'm sorry, I really don't mean to rain on your parade, but this tank you are showing is not at all appropriate for a blue spotted jawfish, and the fish will likely not make it much past the year mark. There are several other types of jawfish that would work out better - pearly/yellowhead, Bali, etc

Subscribed. I really like your presentation, and story telling and it gives insight of fish keeping of said fish for those who want one and want to know what to expect.

Fun video! But owning a fish a month isn't really enough time to claim it's fine in those temperatures. From what I've heard, the warmer you keep the water, the shorter you're making their lives. For someone to truly test that you would need to perform tests with multiple fish in different environments. That being said, William is beautiful and I hope you have him for a good amount of time.

You really need to give them a good ammount of rubble to build with or they will constantly be stressed. They completely close their hole at night. I had 2 of them for a couple years till one found a gap in the lid and jumped, they would breed I assume cause one would get fat and then have eggs in its mouth for several days.

@@tylerhuxford3440 I need help because mine is not eating and it’s been a week since I got him. I tried feeding him Hikari mysis, brine shrimp, pe mysis, lrs nano reef frenzy, fish eggs. Live tigger pods, pe mysis pellets, blood warms. I don’t know what else to try and feed him. Anything you feed yours that I haven’t tried? Thanks

Can you add this fish with watch man goby and madarin??
@HybridHuxford-of1yu Жыл бұрын
@andricksonrodriguez1905 a mandarin you absolutely can have with this fish, I have them both in a 40 gallon. A watchmen goby you might be rolling the dice 😬 they say two blue spotted jaw fish need 24 inches of space between burrows, so I might use that guideline 👍

What kind of Angel fish is that, looks nice?
@tylerhuxford3440 Жыл бұрын
Thank you! ☺️💪 so that’s actually not an angel! That’s a mimic tang, and he’s the best algae eater I’ve ever had! He will change color though as he reaches adulthood. If you are looking for the “angel equivalent” then take a look at the “lemon peel angel.” This is the fish that this tang supposedly “mimics.” I would never put an actual angel in this tank though, my zoas would be toast 😅

@@tylerhuxford3440 thank you for getting back. Is it coral safe, thinking of getting one. Thx!
@tylerhuxford3440 Жыл бұрын
@@mmh1197 the mimic tang is very coral safe ☺️ the lemon peel angel is definitely not! What you see in this 40 gallon tank is a mimic tang ☺️ just make sure you look up the adult version and like what the fish will change into! It’s going to look very different when it gets older

A tiny bit probably 😬 over the course of an hour I’m dumping the bag water and adding tank water to where there’s about 5 to 10% of the original bag water left 🤷♂️ the tank filtration I trust to handle the rest 💪
