My cat got spayed 1/11/22 picked her up yesterday she's doing well she's eating and drinking ok, she was crying to get out of her room at first,I felt so bad I just wanted her to be calm and relax, she has adjusted she's much calmer today. @@Sevenxsnroses Pyometra affects the uterus not the ovaries , dummy. As I said, the uterus can be removed and it will not affect hormone levels. The procedure is called ovary sparing spay. That is what I advocate.

Elif she is doing well 👍🏻 was droggy and sleepy the first day...started being energetic on her third day and her dissolve able stitches are slowly going away. Most of the cats recover very fast. My cats were spayed and neutered last night and they started acting completely normal after few hours, they even started eating like nothing happened which is surprisingly quite relieving.

Other videos say no jumping for 2 weeks which I know will be impossible for them. Your suggestion of keeping them quiet for 48 hours is possible and I intend to do that.

My cat was neutered and he was never the same. I will never have another cat spayed or neutered. He went from a loving and affectionate cat to a cat that never wants anything to do with us anymore. He spends all his time hiding now. Taken him to the vet and they said he is fine, that he is just "adjusting". It's been almost a year now. He wants absolutely nothing to do with the family anymore. I have two kittens who got spayed and I need HELP. I don’t know what to DO. They’re both EXTREMELY hyper, literally they got spayed today. I put them in a crate to limit their movements but they were crawling all over it and even clinging to the top of the crate upside down ._. I had to get them out of the crate and leave them to roam in my room because they were absolutely panicked by being contained in separate crates. Now they’re constantly running around. I have a stray male cat that we have rescued. He had an infected wound on his neck. We brought him inside. I couldn’t bring him inside due to other dominate males inside my home. I have him in the garage in a crate. He is very unhappy about this as he has never been kept up. I can’t stay in there with him 24 hours a day. When I do go in there with him, he gets even more upset bc he wants out. He rubs his head against the crate (where his wound is) which isn’t good. How can I calm him down? I’ve been nipped and scratched so far, nothing serious. I’ll be fine. I just don’t want him to hurt himself.

don't worry cats can heal very fast but make sure ur giving them enough nutrition and keep on eye that they don't leak the operated area... and i think ur cats are naturally aggressive/playfull behavior they will clam down naturally as they are getting older.. coz my cat is also aggressive... and we play more and more so that she clam down. .. if you have any doubt then pls consultant vet.

My cat was a monster before I got her fixed. Jesus freaking christ! She wouldn't stop pissing on my stuff and she howled nonstop everyday and night. I was expecting her to stop for a few weeks but she never did. She was in heat for 2 months straight. Get them fixed asap otherwise you'll be spending lots of time and money scrubbing cat pee out of your carpet and that stuff is extremely hard to clean. And if it gets in grout you might as well rip the tile out and redo your floor.

Just neutered my tommy. And his attitude changed alot. No more cat calling at night which can disturb ur neighbours and your sleep. No more wondering around the house runing here and there, looking for ways to go outside. No more fighting with my other male cats. And lastly no more cat spraying their urine to mark their territory. For months i been patient with this. But enuf is enuf time to visit the vet and get both his testicle cut, which i had been avoiding all this while.

the only one thing I could imagine: no cone. the cone will stress the cat and no comfortable, . add a protection band , cover with bandages and / or some girdles , apply garlic on the bandages to prevent the cat don't lick or chew *the bandages* . some cats with bandages in the abmominal area by default feel the strange and odd thing against them making him react "carefully and slow- diminished. " , apply garlic in "the new belt" XD and .. that's what I would do. (late reply - but you could recommend this :P

+mssolitare from what i know, it could be either the breed the cat is from or how much you socialized with the cat from when it was little, if you left the cat alone for hours on end, the cat became rather antisocial, try playing, for starters you could use like a plastic straw, or plastic tie, or cat toys, but do not let those sit around after you're done playing, as the cat might chew on them and try to eat them, except for some of the cat toys.

I found 2 cats on the street and adopted them and they are the weirdest cats I've ever had. One is very affectionate but only for a brief time, if you've petted her more than she wants, she will bite or scratch you (but will continue staying in your arms 🤣). And don't get me started on the other one, I can't hold her, she will claw my eyes out. But if she wants cuddles she will come to you willingly with the condition that you're not trying to hold her 😄 I think the person who abandoned them did not treat them very well and that is why they are very selective with human touch. I've had them for 4 years, you'll get used to their quirky behavior after some time.

Had to take my 6 months old kitten back to the vet shortly after bringing her home from being spayed as she was bleeding from the incision from scraping it going into or out of the litter box. I got a box I had from Costco that had a couple lower cutout openings, just a couple inches above the ground and am using that for her litter box until she’s healed up, sometime between 12-14 days is what the vet said. Also using fresh aloe gel from a plant on her wound twice a day to speed up her skin healing. Works great for humans, too.

its simple rilly. i used a little tripple antibotic cream. and used a ace rap bandage. and she was not able to dig at it and it healed. and my other female kitten. felicia she is a tortie mix. and both of these kittens came from the pound. payed 130 adoption fee. and then i took them home. the tabby mix felicity she took a big old shit in the corner of my house on my movies. so i kept in mind that she was 2 days out of surgery so i looked at her and gagged and picked her shit up with a tp. and i threw it in garbage. washed my hands. took her to litterbox and set her in there gental grabbed her front paws. and started making her dig litter box out she meowed. i made her sit there till she peed. did that about 2 times and she had it down. the tortie learned from the tabby on bathroom. they are now around half a year or more old. both are great cats well behaved. my tortie felicia caught a cold onetime and i had to force feed her by mouth. she didnt eat for 2 days almost and i made her drink and eat. and she came to later on. and floorished.

I have a manic Birman kitten. How on earth will I keep her calm when she doesn’t understand the word calm? She’s so very beautiful but I have never before owned such a naughty kitten. She’s due to be spayed around the 20th Jan 2021 and I’m really concerned.

@@karolmedina4688 Karol. She gave me several heart attacks. She was spayed four weeks ago. We arrived home when she immediately shook the ecollar from her head. She was completely manic. Running up and down the stairs like a lunatic. Jumping up the walls; hanging off lamp shades!!! I honestly thought that she would haemorrhage and die.! But she was fine. After ten days, I removed the collar and placed a waterproof plaster over the dissolvable stitches. Don’t worry too much.

how long since she last ate ?? and is she eating again now ?? if it was when you brought her home that’s to be expected, the anaesthesia will still be wearing off, if its been a few days please get her to a vet asap !!

They might have left some ovaries in there by accident. She can't get pregnant but heat will still happen, so I'd recommend going back and getting it completely removed w another surgery.

My cat just got spayed this morning (at the time of posting this), and we (me and my family) can't get her to stop licking her incision. The clinic already had a cone on her, and we kept it on, but the minute that we took her out of her carrier, she managed to get it off. We tried to put it back on several times, but she always gets it off again. She is a pretty small cat. She was one of 8 in her litter, and her mom was relatively small also. So, maybe the cone is too big for her? I don't know. We are really wanting to help her, but we don't know what else that we should try. EDIT: We have figured something out for our tiny kitty now!

@@benziregasmae7282 What we did is we cut out a large piece of felt in the shape of a circle, then cut a spot for my cats head to fit through. Note: Make sure that the circle of felt is big enough that your cat can't reach the incision. I found that it almost works better than the cone, because its felt and so she can move around more freely than with a big cone. Hope this helps!

I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else needs to find out about why do cats spray indoors try Magonsi Cat Spray Expert (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy got excellent success with it.

I've heard spaying is terrible for cats. When they shave them it's like they shave a spot on your head. My cat was neutered and he hates everybody now

Storm Betzinger Its not bad! Their fur will grow back entirely. I hate my cat spayed and her fur is now back. The reason why cats have to be spayed is because overpopulation. Overpopulating is bad, because people have to take care of millions of cats! We all have important stuff to do, and cats would also die without food. This is why we need to spay cats and balance their existence.

For females there are more serious issues like cancers and infections that can happen without spaying. A cat with pyometra (uterus infection) will cost you a ton more in surgery costs and be 10 times more traumatic for the cat.....emergency surgery to clean em out and remove the sex organs, pain meds, antibiotics and much longer recovery time and many more complications. Spaying is cheaper, a smaller incision, less trauma, only pain meds (sometimes not even necessary) and a week and a half recovery for the young healthy ones.

Mohammad M Cats aren't humans. Have you ever spent a few weeks with a cat that is constantly in heat? It's pretty obvious she is suffering a lot. Spaying removes that suffering. Also, cats are not attached to their ability to reproduce the way humans are. A male cat won't feel "less of a man" after he is neutered.
