I hate my Rubio monocoat. Maybe it wasn’t applied correctly but it’s so fragile. Everything has ruined it. I can’t even use regular mats on my floor because it will ruin the floor. It has stains everywhere. Little prints Everywhere. If I could do it again I’d just go with Bona Traffic

I’m sorry to hear that! I use regular mats/rugs in my own home and have no issues. As long as you waited 30 days to put them down you shouldn’t have any issues. As far as stains, have you tried using the tannin remover? We have 3 dogs and 1 is a rescue and used to pee all over the floors and sometimes we wouldn’t notice until the stains turned brown/black. The tannin remover works miracles and always removes any stain (including urine).

Our dog urine stains don't turn dark, it turns light... almost lifting the stain. Why would that be? They are rubio monocoat. Do you think the tannin remover would still work?

I also have this problem. If we find the wet spot while still fresh, we clean up with a paper towel and lightly mop with the microfiber and rubio oil. But then it leaves a lighter spot. Any recommendations for this, or do you have to sand and restain that spot? Other than this issue, we love our rubio floors. We've had them for 15 years, and they still look and feel amazing!
