I have one that gets mostly shade and mottled shade but has been through a few days in the low 120s and dozens of days in the 110s and incalculable days in the 100s and is thriving. Actually just had to repot it cause it grew faster than I expected. In the time I've had the plant its also lived through a hurricane, and evn temps in the low 30s with a rare bit of snow. This plant is a survivor.

Thank you! I 'recued' one of these from a Rite Aid. I could tell it'd be a cool plant, but it was dry, that it was dying. I don't know if I can salvage this guy, but I'm going to do my best.

My mom bought this for me early September without knowing what it actually is. So today, I decided to use google lens to find what species it is and led me to here. What's worrying me is that I haven't given it proper care before this for 4 weeks 😅. But thanks for the video! Also, is it okay for my succulent to be out in the sun for the whole day 3 times a week since the sun here will rise at 7 am and set at 7 pm? My school bus usually arrives at 12 pm and it doesn't have enough time to absorb at least 5 hours of light if I put it back indoors before my bus. I can't really hope for anyone in the house to do it since it's only my grandma and siblings because they tend to forget about my reminder. Plus, it's a bit too heavy for them.

Hi there! Please check out your succulent after a long time of your caring method, whether it thrives well or not. If yes, you may just keep going. If not, you may consider to put your succulent in a place where it can get 6-8-hour filtered light per day (when the sun shines on the plant through a barrier such as other trees, a glass window or thin curtains). Hope your baby grows so beautifully 💞

my plant is dying so I'm hoping to revive it, and maybe get a few propagates in case it goes south. does anyone know tho, if I already have potting soil, would small rocks/pebbles from outside work or do I need to buy pumice specifically? I'm not sure where I'd find it or succulent potting mix around here unfortunately but ty for the great vid! hopefully I'll return in a while with the update that toby is doing better

Really deoends on yhe environment. Deserts tend to be dry and hot and moister evaporates quick. Where I live my plant is outside and get wet occasionally. I also live in a hot dry desert

Im late to this but I have a question. I just recieved my new plant and its larger, but has a very small amount of roots. Should I plant it in a smaller pot considering the size of the roots are smaller?
