I put an aeonium in water to root last year and forgot about it. It looked dead until last week when the weather became chilly and wet. Now it's alive again! And the aeoniums I planted in a pot did nothing all summer until this week and now the rosettes are as big as one's hand. Your advice about their dormancy season is spot on!

Thank you Theresa 😊. I bought my Aeonium towards the end of Spring and Ha Ha Ha happily beheaded them thinking it will be okay.... well to make it short, I lost all the heads and all was left were the trunks. Now😳, I am seeing some growth on some of the trunk nodules...yeheyyy... thank you for making the video....God Bless and keep safe❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

You can, as long as you put moss on top of it. Just use it for height because you need to use something that will hold some water for plants to access.

Thank you for the tips, do aeonium resist to cold weather? I live in Europe and sometimes it can decrease to -5°C, for the moment I grow them inside, I would like to make a corner with succulents and aeonium outside but I'm afraid they can't bear cold weather
@JulieMikalson3 жыл бұрын
I believe you will need to bring them inside or to a sheltered area when there is extended frost...if i recall right, zone 9 and higher to remain outdoors all year. I'm in a rain forest also - so care must be taken for drainage to prevent rot.

@ChopstickandSucculents3 жыл бұрын
Make sure they are not dormant when you trim so that you’ll get more sprouts. Aeoniums normally have leggy stems and with a single rosette on top. Sometimes the rosette elongate when it is about to flower.
