Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through The Book of Romans in this sermon on Romans 14:13-23 entitled, "How to Care for the Weaker Believer."
As a Christian, how are you to think about the use of alcohol, entertainment, various social gatherings, demonstrations of wealth, and issues of modesty in clothing?
The Bible is far from silent on the mindset we ought to have regarding these kinds of subjects. In fact, in Romans 14:13-23, the Apostle Paul explains to us how we ought to think and the ways in which we should act when we are considering doing something that could potentially cause a weaker brother or sister to stumble.
In Romans 14:13-23, we see three fundamental commitments which need to be made by every follower of Jesus. We must commit to never be a cause of stumbling, to always walk in love, and to pursue peace and the building up of our brothers and sisters in Christ. We also see two safeguarding truths that will keep us from sinning against our brothers and sisters in these issues.
The following is a sermon from Romans 14:13-23 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.

I am looking for ways to grow spirituality. and I was understanding fine until we got the part of doing things eating foods and drinking alcohol in front of others because they might be tented. So I got confused because that means we have to change our lifestyle for the rest of the other people ???🤔

Be willing to restrict yourself if someone else might find it offensive (e.g. drinking alcohol). If you have studied it and dont see it as a problem, just dont do it around them. Eating certain foods are not really an issue for us in the 21st century, but they certainly were in Paul's time and culture. I would encourage you to read I Corinthians 8 (entire chapter) 9But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. 10For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating£ in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged,£ if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols? 11And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12Thus, sinning against your brothers£ and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. 13Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
