Even if you dont think somethibg is wrong but you doubt it, it is sin too, is like you are doubting if is right or wrong. Because you are going against your conscious you still not thinking it is right. I'm not talking about those things that your conscious is bothering you about but you don't really think it is wrong, you think that is right, just your conscious is bothering you

Romans 14:22 says to keep it between you and God. Keep your faith between you and God. That does not mean to hide your faith and not spread the gospel, it just means that you do not flaunt what you believe is right for you and do not flaunt it in front of people who think that is a sin and that might make them stumble. Verse 23 does not mean that you can never do it again even in the privacy of your own home. You can do it in the privacy of your own home, but you just don't flaunt it from the other people who think it's a sin and it might make them stumble.

Best way I can judge these traditions the world has come celebrate is to ask myself, will it be important to God and celebrated in Father's heavenly kingdom? Or is it only classed as a holy day down here by men? When Jesus was eating his last Passover dinner he had with his deciples, he said to break bread and eat it in remembrance of his broken body and have some wine with it in remembrance of the blood he shed for us. That was specifically requested of us to do by Jesus himself because salvation came to ALL nations of people through Jesus who was our attonment to a Holy Father for our sins. He is the Lamb of God, Our Passover Lamb. Anyone wanting forgiveness of sin should honor that day and keep it Holy and do as he asked of us in remembrance of him, to honor him and obey him. We were only left on Bible for ALL, so there should only be that one Book to follow as our guide. Jesus was NOT a denomination, so how did we get so divided from the words he left us?

Good thoughts. As to your question, we are divided because Satan is the author of confusion and his tools in his battlefield include deception that alters God’s words just enough to have truth but still deceive. Keep on!

Hi I would like to ask a question? Ok so is it okay to pray about that thing your guilty about so that you can enjoy it like the others And also what if you felt convicted about something at one point and as time passes you are no more convicted anymore

I think that is why Paul says to be fully persuaded. You need to know from Scripture why you believe it is wrong. You can always pray for wisdom and truth, and there are things that I used to think were wrong until I studied them and was persuaded otherwise from Scripture. I changed my actions accordingly. It felt weird at first but I reminded myself of what Scripture said. For instance birthday parties might seem odd for an ex Jehovah’s Witness, but you can live in a sound mind if you are studied and fully persuaded that a day is just a day. But if I was not fully persuaded from Scripture I would not do it. But “conviction” sometimes is just a feeling and our consciences can be seared. Don’t rest in a feeling but rather anchor in Scripture.

I like your analogy, but first I take issue with your view of Catholicism and your blanket statement that automatically assumes Catholics and Orthodox are unsaved. That is a whole other conversation. As a Roman Catholic, I don't agree with a lot of what my fellow RCs do in private that are not part of mass. I direct my prayers only to God and there is something about statues, I never liked. As far as statues, I think the roman Catholic church is the only church that does that. Eastern Rites such as Byzantine Catholic do not have statues. Eastern Catholics are fully Orthodox in practice. Eastern Catholics and Orthodox DO NOT have idols. That's a completely false statement. If you want to argue about statues being idols, fine I don't care for them myself. Orthodox have icons, which are nothing more than paintings. In fact Luke (the Luke) painted the first Icon of Jesus. If you think paintings or any form of imagery is idol worship, then that's a whole other argument. Images and art of things in heaven have a biblical foundation. As I side note I plan on either moving to Eastern Orthodox or the Byzantine rite. Back to your analogy about yoga, which is an excellent, excellent comparison. I think the reason it is a sin for the the one who does not eat to eat against his or her convictions is because they are eating in fear (not in faith) therefore essentially believing in their old or false religious practice, not in faith or in the faith. As far as "they are condemned", what does that mean? They condemn themself? Verse 22 says "Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself" but in 23, the one who is condemned is sinning, "condemned", sounds like it's over, case closed. It doesn't say the person is endanger of condemnation or judgement, so I'm leaning more to self condemnation, which is a big problem in itself. self condemnation can result in a person falling and not getting back up. Another thing to remember about chapter 14, is the one who didn't eat was new and not as strong in faith. As Christians we should all walk bravely though life trusting in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 1:7 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Though that's not always easy, but if we can keep it in mind, It just might help. Thanks for allowing me a space to voice my opinion as it helps me work through these sometimes difficult passages. The end of chapter 14 had me up till about 3:30 am the other night. There was something about it, that kept brining me back to it. God Bless you.

Your interpretation of the concept of being charitable is a little ridiculous. If anyone follows their conscience, it is SURE to offend someone in the world (like eating meat offends vegans). So if I'm not charitable and follow my conscience, that's a sin, but if I violate my conscience and act charitable that's a sin as well. You are in sin either way. Also, if you do act charitable, that other person is in sin because they are not being charitable towards you by not letting you obey your conscience... So it's an eye for an eye everywhere and no one can follow their conscience in anything because someone will always take offense of someone that is exercising their own free will. It's an endless cycle of sin. I don't think that's how God intended us to live, in constant offense of others exercising their free will and in constant oppression of stopping others from exercising their free will. There is no way out of this endless cycle. Heck me SMILING can offend other people... Strangers that don't even know me and don't even know what I'm smiling. Me being Catholic offends others, should I stop being Catholic to be charitable? The entire concept is ridiculous.

I think you misunderstood me. We do not disobey our conscience. If we feel we have greater liberty than a brother or sister in Christ, we temporarily choose not to partake in our liberty so as not to offend them. If we are fully persuaded to NOT do something (that Paul labels as doubtful) but someone chooses to do it, we do not partake, but neither do we rail on them and have doubtful disputations.
