How To Care For Zebra Finches

My zebra finch is 11... Everyday I feed him fresh spinach, kale, celery leaves, strawberries, blackberries, scrambled eggs And I change his spray millet every 3 days I keep sesame seeds, oats, natural blend of kale and spinach with dried fruits, pellets of fruit and vegetables, treats and more. I leave his door open so he can come out freely as he pleases and change his bath water daily and have about 5 different perches for him. And he is 11 going strong Extremely healthy and very happy

My Beeboo died last week after 4 years, he was sick and I had a hard time to find a vet/clinic taking care of birds (they all only do cats and dogs in my area). When I found two my birdie died of sickness during the night. I’m still really sad. Don’t make the same mistake I did and look that in advance, don’t wait for them to get sick because they can be really fragile !

I wouldn't recommend keeping zebra finches and budgies together. I've kept them in together in quite a large aviary and the budgies were still able to catch them and bite off their toes. Xx

Budgies, Cockatiels and lovebirds are also parrots lol. Also, zebra finches Can only be kept with other finches (including canaries), sparrows, Diamond doves and quail in an aviary set up. It’ll be dangerous if a parrot type bird is kept with a non parrot type bird

Budgies aren't parrots, they are parakeets and parakeets aren't a macaw

I never had an actual KEEPING AS PET experience with zebra finches but our friends are breeding there finches and they ended up getting 4 eggs, one slug, one was this beutyful snowy white, and the others are normal ebra finches!

I ain't worried bout the mickey ears, they are awesome! I'm concerned about your mouth. Specifically your tongue. You experienced any halitosis? Bad breath, nausea? Corners of the mouth getting white stuff? This stuff affects your gut biome and ultimately your mood for the negative. Just a thought for ya, if it's a problem for you, just look into it and it's easy to fix permanently. If im wrong I'm very sorry and I love your mickey mouse ears!
