Don't tell people which hand to use. Tell them whatever they are comfortable with. I am thoroughly Right handed. I carry my trays with my right hand. Why, because the carrying and balancing a full tray of drinks, especially in a crowded room is the hard part. Serving the drinks is the easiest part. I serve easily with my left hand, but trying to balance a tray on my non-dominant hand would be a disaster! Whatever is most comfortable for YOU!
