Another dope tutorial! I been procreating for years but your tips on using overlay for highlights and multiply for shadows might be a game changer for me. To add to the question in the video. There is nothing wrong with tracing. I drew on paper with pencil many years before an iPad was created but now my drawing on paper is better because of tracing images. It help with learning the concept of drawing and where to start.

The use of shadows and highlights bring some serious dimension to the piece and makes it really pop- Super dope 💯🔥 Tracing is a time savior to replicate the original image- like using a light-board/table. Another dope tutorial 🔥🔥🔥😎👍🏼

May I ask the settings and brush you are using for tracing?
@rebrandcreative11 ай бұрын
I don’t believe I have a specific setting for my line art. It changes up all the time. The main brush I use is the studio brush which is a default brush in procreate, And I adjust the streamline which controls the line smoothness. A lot of it is trial and error

You use another scale for the thickness of the pencil. Can you tell me how you do that?

I believe I just increased the size of the pencil brush. you can adjust the stroke weight by moving the toggle up and down on the left hand side

@rebrandcreative Жыл бұрын
Thanks Liz. one thing you can do to improve your line art is to increase the streamline settings in your brush details. This will help stabilize pen stroke. I will make a quick video to support your question😌. Stay tuned

@@rebrandcreative thank you very much. It’s also hard because I don’t think the Apple Pencil is for my generation iPad so I’m literally doing my drawings by finger which is much harder. Plus, I was just perfecting it on Adobe Draw before it was taken off of the Apple Store. Now, I have to learn all over again on Procreate. It’s harder because there’s not a lot of tutorials for Procreate.
