Wood Carving A Spoon With Coals! I learned this wood carving technique in a wilderness survival course and found it so relaxing and therapeutic, so I naturally thought to make it an ASMR video. If you'd like to try, you can follow step by step, but be careful! I did end up cutting myself, as you can tell in the video (a bandaged finger and blood on the spoon :P)
Here are some tips if you want to replicate:
You need a sharp knife. I suggest a knife with a Scandinavian grind (a zero-point bevel). The Morakiv I use in the video is cheap and perfect: amzn.to/3KnIkJB
Use wood with little to no branches. Knots make it very hard to carve into
Cut as much wood as possible with the axe before you start using the knife. It saves so much time.
The liquid I use in the end is canola oil. You can use any oil, but you can use a finishing oil if you'd like a nice varnish.
The point of finding a smooth rock to rub the spoon on is to smoothen the spoon itself! I couldn't find a smooth small stone, so I rubbed it on a boulder.
If you want me to make a tutorial video, let me know in the comments below!

I have to say that this is possibly one of the most underrated channels I've ever watched. The cinematography and editing quality are phenomenal, and the content so varied while still connected, informative while entertaining.

Beautiful video, I enjoyed it a lot. The nature, fire , music and organic sounds. My favorite scenes : when you are carrying the log the sky was amazing, sunset when you are sitting on the boulder; working at night with the spoon the editing was so cool with two fires lit and the last part with the finished product. Good job - invigorating!

One time when I was in ceramics class we decorated spoons and I tried putting a gold glaze in the scoop. I guess the kiln we had wasn’t hot enough so it just turned black and I always thought it turned out bad but. Hey! Accidental historical accuracy.
