Sorry for asking so many questions… 😅 but i have been intrigued by the tilted base that you always carry with you, that sort of table with a leather top. What is that for?

No worries, it’s just a raised platform to work on, I do quite small carvings so it’s just a mini table really. Sometimes when I carve outside I use it as a rest on my lap. Paul

Hello, ist me again😅 I'm doin a quite similar spoon for my girlfriends birthday. I'm using cherrywood from my dad's garden has a bit of a meaning for me. 😊 Anyway just want to ask you, if you first oiled it and than painted the coffee bean, and what colours did you mix?

Hiya, I played around with a few ideas on scraps of wood and finally settled on some dark Oak wood stain I had, you can usually just keep adding coats until you get the colour you want, in this case a dark rich roasted brown. I stained the bean first then waxed the whole thing. Hope this helps, good luck, Paul HWC

@@thehairywoodcarver Ok nice, thats very helpful! I usually paint my normal carvings with acrylic paints, probably not the best idea if I let it in the coffeebox. 😂😅 Your solution seems more food friendly.
