Hope this helps! I find this one of the most easy and quick ways to cast on.

I've tried various videos on how to cast on, and this 1 is by far the best for absolute newbies

At last!! a video I can understand. I am a new knitter and I found this so difficult until I watched your video which made it so simple. All my stitches are cast on for my project in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much :)

Hi, I noticed you didn't have a long tail, but used just the ball end. I thought you had to use a tail to wrap too. Does your method still give a stretchy cast on?

Thank you for this vid. Is the end result the same regardless of which method you use to cast on?

Hey thanks for watching! Different cast on methods do tend to look slightly different, some are neater than others and most knitters have a preference. Hope this helps! Happy knitting! 🧶

I have a question what I do wrong...I cast 10 stitches and start knitting. 2nd and 3rd row I still have 10 loops and all of the sudden I have 11 loops or even more on 4th and 5th row. What do I do wrong?
@FlockAndFern12 күн бұрын
Ahh this is a common mistake, first don’t worry! What you’ve done is knit twice into the same stitch, which is an increase - so you’ve jumped to the next level! After every row count your stitches and if the number has increased then look across the row and you might be able to see a little “bump” which is probably where you’ve gone wrong, undo to that point and then continue. I’ll do a video on it and add the link here for you soon! Keep practicing and happy knitting 🧶

Thank you, I had seen this method before and I don't know if I saved it to my library but I'm too impatient right now to try to find it, I gotta knit right now! So I hit the search line and found a thumb method that required measuring out about 30 centimeters of yarn it seemed like it was a combination of your simple thumb of method plus long-tail cast on or something and she ended up doing something that lookt like knitting and it didn't resemble your Video method here at all, saying that I needed to know how to knit first to do this thing. ... Not cool ..I go to a video to learn something and if you're gonna tell me I need to learn something else first, then you need to put something in the title that says intermediate skill level or something and save us some time. It is simple enough to show something and takes only a few seconds. People can replay a five second or ten second addition to a video. Ooohhhh..that lady! I want to cast on not go learn to knit first. I want to cast on so that I can knit [ now making upset, rage-y, frustration, noises ]!!! I went and bought some mediu~ large circulars with the 29 inch string. I figure I can make a front panel for a sweater on this. I think they're size 10, which kinda looks like the perfect in-between size to start with, and I am ready to play monkey -> see monkey do and knit something! I appreciate the fact that I found it from a search as the second video and that you're quite direct with your teaching. I searched through your library a little bit before watching the video which is why I decided to watch the video and subscribed I'll be looking into the other ones down below that you're introducing people to. I would appreciate your input on what I thought was a good way to get started my choice of needle and what not... I'm rarin' ta go, I'm going to knit to-day. Right now. Because you showed me a simple unconvoluted, direct video instruction. And doing it and I am so doggone happy If I had a tail I would wag it!
