How to Catch and Cook Tailor on Fraser Island | The Hook and The Cook | Part C

I spent a few days on Fraser Island in the summer of 1976. I was 14 years old. It was not a fishing trip but I did get one opportunity to wet a line. It was the wrong time of the year for tailor but everything else was on a strong bite. It was a great afternoon. The fish were hitting the bait as soon as it hit the water. I have fond memories of that time on Fraser with my first girlfriend, the beautiful scenery, and fishing like I have never experienced since.

I guess what you call tailor is the same thing we call bluefish here on the east coast of the U S, we also call the smaller bluefish tailors but the bigger ones are called chompers that get up to 5 to 20 lbs and boy are they fun to catch from the beach, thank you

how do you spot a gutter??

The gutter is the deeper water along the beach watch the waves breaking out the back and rolling towards the beach, The spot were the wave reforms or fill out again is the gutter some are close to the beach and some are out wide, fish feed in these spots.
