So much more enjoyable than sitting behind sea fishing gear as often seen on our rivers. You run into problems when you hook a good double , the line is strong enough but the rod is likely to break.

When it comes to the Barbel, I don't see any issues landing like 17lber on the same setup as per this video. Barbel are strong but they do not do much else like looking for snags etc.

@@AndrewsKnots we do that style of fishing a lot for, vimba, chub and nase, but of course with a lot lighter tackle (6-7m Bolognese rod) 0.14mm line and maggots.

Superb video maten excellent quality is very good. Great, honest and practical advice. I am jealous though, as I wish my wife would allow me to go fishing as much as you do! What is that unhooking mat and where is it from please? Same question for your chest waders.

Ha ha, the 2nd fish is very challenging and interesting, but you lost it. In UK, the nature is very well preserved and very beautiful at this season. Very different video this time you made it.
