Great imfo what rod and reel were u using
@InformativeAngling13 сағат бұрын
@@johnwalker9388 Thanks John! The rod I was using is a st croix legend tournament 6’10” med-light extra fast. My go to is a 7’ medium, fast action gloomis conquest, croix has stiffer blanks so a medium light is what id recommend for that brand. As for the reel, this was a piscifun carbon x but i would not recommend it for these colder temps, the drag has problems in these cold temps, any shimano reel will do well, the vanfords are very good bang for your buck. If looking for a more budget reel the pfleuger president xt is very good.

@@InformativeAngling thanks just wanted to make sure I had the right rod and yes all I use is st croix just pick up a 7.3ft medium light with the new trigon reel seat do
@InformativeAngling13 сағат бұрын
@johnwalker9388 they make great rods! Pretty much anything you use for walleye will work for whities! A 7.3 will work great!

What is the difference between white fish and Ciscos?
@InformativeAnglingКүн бұрын
@@geraldvillarreal1630 Hi Gerald! Cisco have a smaller, more forward-facing mouth, while whitefish have a downward-facing mouth suited for bottom feeding. Whitefish also grow larger than ciscoes there are some other differences but there are the main ones!

Where did you find a launch open?

@@ianpemb9324 Innisfil beach park is open along with tiffin and a few others
@ianpemb9324Күн бұрын
@@InformativeAngling that's right in my neck of the woods. I live about 6 minutes north of Barrie. I knew tiffin was a permanent launch I just didn't realize you could use it.

I decided to go out solo because I knew there would be issues with the trolling motor and wasnt sure if I would be able to spotlock! So I didnt want someone on my boat suffering having to fish without spotlock😂
