Just subscribed. Crappie fisherman here. I live in Eastern Ky and new to livescope. I just purchased the new LVS 34. Had it out twice so far. I have it mounted on my old aluminum river boat. Built my own mounting pole and so forth. I’m just an old country boy that loves to fish. What really got my attention as that you said God Bless in a video I just watched with you and your older friend crappie fishing. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

Not sure if the white bass taste different but ive been eating some yellow bass and they taste great. I bleed them out as soon as caught. Fillet off any red meat and take out the lateral line down the middle. Very clean tasting, very white, a little firmer than crappie. Not a big difference. They always seem aggressive and ready to eat. Need to be on the larger side to make it worth cleaning but I keep them from now on. Watch out for those gills, they will slice you open. They are very good with the fins as well. Always ready to flare up and give you a good jabbin. They even flare their sharp gills. Lip them. Also, the catfish fish lovvvvve them as cut bait.

They’re good to eat for sure! That’s right
@normanburns-ko4ro Жыл бұрын
The white bass you were catching are great eating only if you fillet them and fry them up fresh. You can’t freeze them. If you freeze them they are mush. But for a next day fish fry they are great. Give em a try y’all.

Curious - will you get to the point to where there is not enough bait fish in the venue lake for all the large fish you’re stocking?
@SlabHunterTV2 жыл бұрын
What make you think there is not enough bait fish in there. I have fish many ponds that size with giants in it for over 40 years and no decline in quality fish.

Andrew, I noticed your LS is out to around 70. Is this how you found the school in the first place or do you use side imaging first. Like to see a video of you locating brush or schools before fishing with LS.

Nordbye hey I’d definitely like to see a 3lb crappie that you catch!! I think that would be awesome to see one caught measured for length & then see it on a scale!! I’m from Iowa & have been out a bunch ice fishing!! Caught a 2lb+ blue gill out of a farm pond!! We have caught 3 of them that have been 2lbs+ would love to catch a couple more & then do a stringer Mount with them!! A buddy caught a 16” crappie last weekend & I didn’t believe him but he had it next to a tape measure & sure enough it definitely was a 16” crappie!! I keep telling him that maybe he would get lucky & end up catching a 3lb+ crappie!! He said oh heck they don’t get that big!! He told me oh he’d be lucky to break a 2lber!! I kept telling him that they do exist but I’ve never seen one in Iowa!! He said he would love to see one!! I told him I no someone that loves to fish all the time & you would be the one to get a picture of one for proff that 3lb+ crappies do exist!! Awesome video buddy hope to see a picture of a 3lb+ crappie soon!!

What times of the year do you use that technique? How are you putting the minnow on? It is hard for me to understand how you catch them when there is so much bait near the fish.
