Freedive does it better on the approach, prior to their catches.. having to use air and making a lot of sand-clouds.

So basically if you're free diving an you want to catch one, get behind it with the stick get it out of the hole, and grab it quick.

Scuba is fun, I had a dive first time with sharks at manly sea aquarium in Sydney Australia , haven’t done an ocean dive but it is on my bucket list. Great video guys.

What type of net is that and where did you find it? I use one of the larger nets and feel it takes forever to untangle the lobsters out of them.

Yes exactly, it wastes too much time if the net is deep and it is of little benefit. I made the net from scrap materials. You can tie a knot in your net, secure with a zip tie and then cut the pony tail off..

I never used tanks just held my breath, the lobsters in the north east off long island NY they have two big claws one for crushing and one for ripping you can't grab them with your hands you'd have no hand left.

That's not my experience. I've caught hundreds of maine lobsters by hand.

What I used to do to catch lobsters I'd use a shafted from my speergun tie a big Hook at the end , then just shove it under the rock and hook the lobster.

Whatandwhen2 i live in north Dakota. Rarely get out. Lol. Would be a very unique experience for me. And would also love to try octopus. Only seafood I've had is fish and shrimp. Would love to try it all. But you video is super cool and exciting. I myself would be scared at first. Cause there are some weird looking creatures down there when watching other videos. Would take some getting used to and some education on the wildlife to know what is dangerous or not

@@glendawurtz6500 Thanks Glenda, I appreciate the feedback. I consider myself quite fortunate to have the health and time to be able to escape to the underwater. The ocean is deep and clear (often anyway) close to shore in Palm Beach. FYI, Octopus are EXTREMELY smart, especially for an invertebrate. I don't normally eat them, but they are fun to play with. the can change not only their color but also their texture. Just tried my first lobster, my uncle catched 3 cause tons of lobsters roam around in the coasts my uncle live in the "-ber" months, tried the tail, my family ate the others, me, a little bastard fancy eating dink only ate the tail, my family ate the whole thing, from the head, to the tail... damn, and i found that you were catching spiny lobsters, thats exactly what we ate

I am not a scuba diver but if am not mistaken that diver is using a lacrosse stick to "net " lobster. Isn't that convenient and if could overcome my terror of sharks after watching the movie Jaws I am sure I can find my lacrosse stick somewhere in the attic.

we use cubic feet in the states.. sorry don't know how to answer. we normally do about 40 minutes on the bottom in 80 to 100 feet.
