Great video. Never thought of only using two hooks, but it makes so much sense. I have been using that pink shrimp, flavored fish bites, which also works incredibly well. I’ve caught trout up to 19 inches on that stuff while trying to catch pinfish. But it is very hard to work with on the tiny hooks. Will give the gulp a try. Thanks for posting.

Good tip. Thanks. What do you use to keep the Gulp bits wet? Wonder if a little menhaden oil would work?

thanks for the tip. i love fishing for pinfish they are so fun to catch..watching your reel with that pinfish on i was like..yeup..that's how they fight..spot fight like that too.
@CaptainErikLIVE4 жыл бұрын
You’re most welcome! Thank you for watching Katherine. Do you ever fee the difference between a pinfish and a grunt? Captain Erik gets most excited when he feels the grunt fight!
@katherinepoindexter43804 жыл бұрын
@@CaptainErikLIVE I have not caught a grunt yet, except for a baby Pigfish but the way a pinfish fight is very different. I now am learning to tell the difference between a Pinfish and say a Spot..they fight somewhat similarly but the Pinfish fights rapid fire until you get it in the boat or dock, while the Spot starts out rapid fire and then there is a lull, then a pull, then a lull then a rapid fire pull like a Pinfish..and then a deep pull when you get it to the surface. but they do fight similarly.

FWIW... you can buy GULP fluid in a plastic bottle. Use a MASON jar and soak the "nubbins" to get the flavor back into them. PINFISH in Pensacola Fl are aquatic starving lions. Pinfish...LOVE Gulps for some reason. GLHF !!!

Have u eaten these pin fish before? I think there absolutely delicious, I like them, taste almost like bluegill which is my favorite to eat out of all fish on this planet, crappie being 2nd favorite, if you have tried them, did u like them?
