That was excellent advice. Thankyou so much for sharing mate. - green is a very underrated colour for reddies in my opinion. The new Bass man short spinner baits are great. Caught 3 reddies in the Campaspe the other day. In my favorite colour skirt, green, orange, yellow and black. Number 5 stumpies in red and black are good., and the tn 70 jackal. I could talk all day about tackle, I love it. 🤣👌👍🇦🇺
@MurrayCrabbFishing5 жыл бұрын
yeah mate, naturals always work as well. I had some TN's and stumpies there, I couldn't cover every brand lol. thanks for the watch and feedback mate.

Fishermans office as long as you work the lure you have right there is heaps. But it’s funny that the lure that cleans up on any given day varies each trip...

Where did you get that awesome kayak sized net from?

I got it at Trellys in Shepparton. I have just had a look online and unfortunately cannot find it online atm. you may have to check your nearest tackle store.

Thanks mate, I gained a lot from this... One thing I'm wondering, what's the go with temperature and time of day for redfin?
@MurrayCrabbFishing Жыл бұрын
Glad you got something from it mate. There are a lot of variables with temp, time of day and depth mate. They can turn on and off on a dime. Best to just keep switching lures until you can entice a bite.
@john-wu2zb Жыл бұрын
@@MurrayCrabbFishing I appreciate the quick response mate. I'm up in the blue mountains, starting to feel like winter here already!! We've got a lake up here, apparently used to be good for trout back in the day, but I hear the redfin have messed that up... So the amateur that I am, I was mostly wondering if redfin bite in the colder months?
@MurrayCrabbFishing Жыл бұрын
@@john-wu2zb they do, they are the slower and deeper. You are likely to catch less but better size. If you have a kayak or boat get out deep near structure and drop plastics, jigs and spinner baits. If Land based same lure but cast as far as you can out.

What interests me is over here in the west is we use a lot of marron/yabbie imitation lures and hop them along the bottom yet over in the east it’s all minnows and swim baits. Red colours are predominant yet a contrast in silhouette. Cool vid bro!
@MurrayCrabbFishing3 жыл бұрын
It’s funny how different areas end up with set techniques. Yabby imitation plastics do work for them here but they eat a lot of baby fish so they are a go to lure choice. Thanks mate
