I don't remember anything about pokemon in elementary school except this one kid in my class playing Pokemon Sapphire during recess back in second grade. I think it's because Gameboys were so expensive in back then and the pokemania of the late 90s died down when gen 3 came out

When I was a kid I thought Unowns are supposed to be the solution for the dots. Never knew those are brails. 20 years now I’m re-playing emerald. This tutorial healed some part of my childhood. ❤

I asked my grandma about it because I knew it was Braille, but didn't know how to decipher it. She literally handed me the encyclopedia for B and showed me the Braille section. Sure enough, it helped me solve it. It's funny cuz the pamphlet for the game has the translations, and the first room in the video also has the full alphabet. If you really wanted to put two and two together, you could. But at 11 years old I was stupid as can be. lmao

This generation is lucky because they all have youtube to search for tutorials. While us wayback our time have to figure it out on our own on how and where to catch certain pokemons and discover caves and hidden places. Old but gold memories 😌

Im 33 now and have 3 kids. I used to play pokemon emerald on pc when I was young. And here comes my eldest son sharing to me what he's always playing on his cellphone. I said I used to play that game too haha I decided to download the on my cellphone too and hooked up to it again. It brings so much childhood memories but never ever know that I can have a legendary pokemon and discover that there are also hidden pokemons that I can catch. Well, this generation have to thank the oldies for giving them the tutotrials and cheats so they wont have a hard time searching like we what we used to before.

Man im at 195 Pokemon on the Hoen Pokedex, I got 5 left Milotic, Latios and the 3 regi Pokémon legendaries! Such an annoying thing to have all these requirements to get this regi pokemons and the pain to evolve milotic not to mention I can’t get Latios unless I complete my ruby or sapphire again. All to get Chikorita and I have to do it 3 times to get all 3 johto starters

I have so much pokemon to finish the pokedex but I'm playing on a emulator so I cant trade for the other starters and for latios, but I'm getting all the legendaries I can before I get all the regular pokemon, so I need all the regular pokemon, the regi trio and latias, and of course jirachi

@@Apon_games I got feebas in like 30 minutes actually. as in today September 1st I have 380 live pokedex. only missing the event pokemon. I have completed the prof oak challenge and collected all 380 using all 5 gen 3 pokemon and playing them countless of times to get all 4 fossil pokemons, all 3 johto and kanto starters it was a pain. took me like a year

Just use a Timerball after using 30 to 40 ultra balls that's how I caught Reggierock you can buy timeballs at Rushboro city

We didn't have the internet like it was back then either! No KZbin to rely on :) I remember borrowing my grandma's encyclopedia and finding the page for Braille, and them using that to translate.
