I've killed spawning bass on the Rapala floating minnow here in West Virginia! Many 4-6 pounders over the years which is big fish here! Oh I always use the silver top black belly.

This is great! Love this, can’t wait to try it. I have a bunch of these floating minnows that I have had for years and years and never use anymore. This works out perfect because I would have had to change out the old rusty hooks anyway. 🤣

There's nothing like a little tail down in the water 😉 The Rapala #11 floating minnow was probably one of my first lure purchase as a kid. Great idea for catching spawning bass. 👍I also use a #11 as a follow up bait for missed strikes on topwater.

Yes, I have a box that is specifically for wood baits. I looked in there and I have about five of those that I used probably in the late 1990s. I’m gonna revisit that for sure!!! thanks for the tips! I’m excited!

Ikeman, another frikin monster day at Parvin! The bass are in the beds and absolutely ferociously aggressive right now. Lost 2 over 4lbs right next to the boat. Landed 5 total. Nothing under 2.3lbs. They are anhialating the green pumpkin wacky.

@@mikeiaconellifishing Here's one, have you ever attached two #9 together via a split ring tail to nose? Remove the back hook on the lead Rapala, when it's pulled thru the water the front lure won't wiggle but the back does. One day your out with the kids, try it.

Ike thanks so much! What setup are you throwing this on? Worked like a charm when I tested it out this last weekend, and I didn’t have the feathered hooks yet. However was fishing from the bank. Tournament next weekend and will have to throw it further. Are you using like a frog set up or a jerk bait setup?
