Great information, very informative. You’re 100% correct about smaller lures for tidal bass. I fish primarily tidal rivers and constantly go behind fisherman who use larger lures and catch em.

Hey Alexander...great info....have to agree about info being withheld on the tube. I'm a CA Delta guy and punching does it out here. Any vertical reaction presentation is best in my opinion...we just have so much vegetation out here that punching canopies is the most efficient way to drop it on the head of a biggin without putting it on alert. Thanks.

I would say most of our summer tournaments are won flipping with a kicker or two caught on top.

I neko rig a whopper plopper with a light 3/4oz bullet weight and walk the dog on the bottom in rivers, usually shallow in 15-30ft. if its sunny, ill throw bubblegum. if its cloudy, watermelon/silver flake. sometimes I'll throw a chunk trailer on, depending on conditions. works every time. don't forget the bobber, 3" leader. fluoro to braid leader, overhand knot works fine. throw it one a ultra light medium heavy action with a fast power. need the backbone to rip em up of the bottom and boat flip em on the 6lb mono to the 10lb braid leader. I've qualified for the elite series 3 times this year in my local team tourneys. I'm telling ya...
