I have 15 on both trucks, but it’s definitely overkill. I think you only need the extra feet if you have a stretched frame. I would go with 12 next time. Actually, my older truck, I reverted back to coiled pigtails. Those straight line hoses seem like they wear out too fast.

Air line field service hose repair kits are available and should be carried in your tool box along with 10 feet of 3/8” ID. hose . 3/8” and 1/2” NPT fittings that swivel . They are DOT approved .

I didn’t only because they come with the factory red loctite on the threads. But teflon would definitely be a better seal. Thanks for commenting!
