How to change a harmonic balancer on a 4.0 Jeep

Thank you for this video! I have never used the puller tool or instillation tool before and you made it easy to use. I did find it easier to remove the front bumper (just 6 bolts on my 89’ XJ) and use a impact gun to remove the bolt holding the balancer on, just fyi if anyone is having a hard time manually wrenching it off.

The center bolt that is being used to remove the harmonic balancer does not need to be as long my opinion. It could be half that size to remove the harmonic balancer you think. It's been that long just limits the room that you have to work the puller

I’m planning to rent the tool extraction and to a bolt store in town to buy a shorter bolt . You are right, the bolt is to long .

You didn't take the main radiator out of the Jeep no? I was hoping I didn't have to go through all that taking the radiator out half the body off in the front grill and all them nuts and bolts and junk I was hoping I could do it from underneath and leave the radiator in what do you think? Is that what you did is left the radiator in looks like it? I've got a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee can I leave the radiator in it to change out my harmonic balancer from underneath? Thanks
