Man I searched high and low for a video on how to change the hydro belt on my Scag V-Ride 36". Although this is a different model. It is pretty much the same technique. Only difference is the Scag has a guard to hold the cluth in place which must be removed before slipping on and off the belt. Thank you man!

Hey Russell it's Rick Virginia beach virginia. Great job there showing everybody how to change those belts because they are a bear. but a little secret on the lower pump Belt tensioner you could take the Mounting bolt where the tension bolts, loosen it and that gives you more room to slide that belt underneath just thought I'd share that with you, but other than that great job man.

Yeap I changed my Bobcat 36" WB 2020 left me stranded. Luckily the driveway was slanted down hill. I had about a 70ft push from the backyard to my van. Then that 560lbs WB I had push up the ramps. Awwww man the home owner helped for about 2ft. Then I grunted and got it up there. It was a lil stick caught up there. That was my 1st time bought a new belt since it's 2010 model & old in years but less then 170 hrs on it

Is there a bolt head under the tensioner pulley you could use to crank it back for easier belt install? Just curious. Not bashing. I enjoy videos like these so thank you for the time with labor and content creating and sharing with us.
@GwinnettLawns3 жыл бұрын
You could loosen the pulley a little but it would take more time than just doing it the way I do. You have to be careful NOT to loosen it too much or the spring will come off, then you are going to have a terrible day getting it back on.

@@GwinnettLawns I wasn't meaning loosening the pulley, I meant using the bolt head as a pry point with a wrench from the bottom instead of using the edge of a socket and ratchet and then finagling the belt around it. That's how most automobile tensioners I've came across are set up and a few of the riding mowers.

@@JustinJoyinglife oh I see. No I don’t think it would be enough leverage. The bolt head is very shallow. A really long beaker bar with a 1” extension is best. My extension was 2” and a little too long for a perfect angle.

Maaann looks like a pain in the ass! There is absolutely no room down there. I just got a new stander x 52 and a simple oil change is so difficult bc of the lack of space.
