How to change a Motor in a Greenheck Roof exhaust Fan.

Customer complaint is the Oven Exhaust Fan is Not Working and it’s Over 100 Degrees in the Restaurant.

Nice work. The switch under the dome counts as a disconnect per electrical code. I like labeling the breaker location under the dome, if I can fine it!

Looks like that fan is a G-90 based on the wheel. Be aware that if you ever need to replace that fan the new G-90s have a glass fiber reinforced wheel which is only meant for sustained air temps of 130 degrees F. Your best bet on a replacement if it ever needs one is to go to an upblast fan of size 99 (CUE or CUBE), which would be the next size up which has an Aluminum wheel suitable for restaurant exhaust and carry a UL762 rating. Best to have an upblast for stuff like this so you're not throwing grease onto the roof deck.

Thanks. appreciate the info. yea , its a G90. down below is just a Oven. its just exhausting oven exhaust heat. a Huge bakery oven down below. they cook Bagels 🥯 in the ovens & a Shit load of bacon 🥓. its only hot air that comes out of roof exhaust . not a speck of grease anywhere. in duct or on roof.

How long did it take you ,did a lot of kitchen upblast if it's too rusty i sell them a new one

Very time consuming - first day - diagnosis, removal , disassembly , order new motor. 2nd day - P. u. new motor , reassembly & install. 8hrs + getting nuts at Home Depot & ordering New motor.
