I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the thumbnail to this video. I am so glad you made this. Very talented, love the car. Looking forward to the rest of it. How do you make your door cards? Or where are they made? Im buying a GZ20 soarer today and I want to fix up the interior with new panels.

Thanks for the video. People adding a skin to a panel should also consider "foam and glass". The shape is changed by putting on insulating foam (liquid or in the spray can) then the composite is laid up right over that. Thanks again.

Just my opinion so please take no offense. I even plan on using your methods as a guide to changing up my Volkswagen. I just think the rear needs more curves to the sides and rear back sides. And I think what would really set off the whole look was if you could get bigger wheels on it by adding some more space by trimming some of the bodies wheel space off to fit some bigger tires and rims and then adding wheel spacers to the car so it could have a better stance and match the body you put on it. Again this is just an opinion and please take no offense I just wanted to share my thoughts. Best regards, Jason

Go to a fiberglass specialist. They can provide you with all that you need.

Man you are the best! All your videos are helping me learn to use fiber glass and carbon fiber. I have one question though... What type of clay are you using to sculpt? I am designing a front one piece clip (hood fenders combined) for my f150 at the moment because no one makes one wide enough for my truck (96" wide). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Very interesting project you have there. If you can afford the proper clay then get Y2 Clay which is what car companies use. But it is about $200 per KG. Because I needed about 400KG of clay to do this job (the whole project) I used potters clay which is cheep. But you need to keep the clay moist at all times. Use food wrap to do this. It is a lot more work doing it this way but most people have more time than money and so gladly use potters clay.

S1KRYD Just did a Google search--Y2 Klay is expensive, but not THAT expensive. I found a retailer who will sell you 35 lbs. for $270, which works out to about $18/Kg. Granted, shipping costs might be pretty high.

S1KRYD I live in California, in the USA. www.fibreglast.com/product/chavant-y2-klay-industrial-design-clay-1122/clay was the first shop I found. but really, just google "Y2 Clay", all of the online stores on the first page have it for around that price. Even Ebay has it. Though like I said, you'll probably have to pay a lot to ship 400 KG of it just because it's a lot of material.

Yes a heat gun would be fine but be careful not to over heat the resin or it may set funny looking and cost you a lot of sanding work.

Great video, awesome skills and I thank you for sharing, but please fix the audio, I cannot hear you at all even with the volume blasted and then you jump to heart thumping loud music back and forth, it is stressful to watch this with the audio on.

Yes I know. It was my video camera. It was not set up for good sound when I first started to do the video. Not much I can do. About 15 min into the video it is fixed because I realized my settings were wrong.
