Great video. With regards to the flush valve outlet size do all flush systems come with different washer sizes or is that something we also have to find desperately?

Did you buy that rubber seal that had a much better fit separately? My toilet is leaking in that area and I just bought a new rubber seal… I thought that I wasn’t tightening hard enough… what am I doing wrong?

It is vital to push the bottom plastic screw washer which is underneath the cistern, into the rubber ring "Doughnut", then set it down onto the hole which is in the part of the toilet fixed to the floor. In this video, it looks as if you just leave the rubber "Doughnut" on and around the hole...which I tried, and then had loads of water spill out every time I flushed.

Hi, my toilet continues to run water after flushing. Does this mean I would have to get a new flush valve? Is there anything else I can try? I'm a bit nervous about taking the entire cistern off!

Melissa Bubnic the "fill" setting is too high. There is an adjustment.

+Greg Psinas This is one possibility. The other two might be a leaky fill valve or leaky flush valve.

if you have any kind of listening disorder - you can click on cogwheel on the control bar which is on the very bottom of the video just near full screen button (it says settings when you mouse over it), then click "playback speed" button, and choose the tempo which feels more comfortable for you to deal with
