How to CHANGE AIR FILTER Mitsubishi Outlander 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 Sport Lancer Replace Repair If you are changing your oil you're suppose to check the air filter. most likely on a 2023 22024 2025 and beyond that into the future. Be forewarned, this is a PITA to install. Yes, I had the bottom aligned. It’s just a pain to install. That being said, couldn’t have done it without your video 😊

It only takes a few minutes. If you spent 15 then you weren't sure how to align the bottom properly before pulling the clips over. Oh well Hopefully you got it

Where I go to do the maintenance service they wanted to charge me $110 just to change both motor and air conditioner filter. I said no thank you I'll go elsewhere. I came across your vid for the ac and another one for the motor one and it's extremely easy. I'll do it myself from now on so thank you very much.

Oh yeah they need to pay their workers and that includes ordering parts, billing, repairman, shop space, taxes, insurance, and the boss needs some on top of all of that. With inflation things are only going UUUUPPPPPPP!!!!!!

Here is the best way from someone who has done it 4 times. 1. Pull the rubber hose with a fat grommet on it that runs from the fire wall towards radiator out of the air filter box. (Very simple and takes 2 seconds.) 2. Using a very small screwdriver, carefully unplug the mass airflow plug. 3. Using a phillips screwdriver open wire clamp holding thick rubber tube going from air box to engine and pull the hose off air box. 4. Open the 2 clips on top of air box. Now it will come completely apart and you can take out old filter and install new one. Have someone slightly hold the thick rubber tube while you put 2 halves of air box together and clip the 2 top clamps. Put hose with thick grommet back and plug in mass airflow. Attach rubber tube that goes from air box to engine back. This is the best way and least frustrating.

Zabardast, cheers from Canadà ....I remove the Air Intake etc. with the jubilee clamp and then do it. That way can check the battery electrolyte level etc...it's a pain though...

Just changed my cabin air filter, don’t know if I’m brave enough to change the engine one. Nothing is designed to be simple anymore, they do that to make you go to the dealership to get things fixed that should be simple enough to do on your own.
