Actually you do not have to take out the screw. Just the top pops out and pull it out

The top black part will pull out, you just have to slide it up than pull it out …replace the battery and make sure to slide it back in after replace the battery. It should say lock side to insert it back

Bought this for an airbnb BIG MISTAKE - in order to delete a code for entry you have to take cover off with screwdriver EACH TIME- a big hassle. There should be a way to delete codes using the touch screen..

Slide the plastic part up and pull up the battery container. There is no need to screw-unscrew the whole cover
