My mom bought me a Hisense Chromebook for Christmas years ago and it stopped charging properly so I had it put away for a while. I just recently purchased a replacement battery so this does help a ton.

What if the light on the side is on and I can't turn it off properly? And I disconnect it the battery. What can go wrong?

I would maybe wait for the battery to get to 0%, then work on it :-).

@@MoneyAhoy too late lol. I unplugged, and plugged battery back in after a couple hours, but didn't seem to turn on lol. I tried not touching the board to short it either. I didn't hear the battery snap into place but It feels/looks snug. I'll try again. My side light won't turn on now lol. Ty sir
