I removed the dirt and grease on the bike with gear oils. That's it, no special product at all.

Many thanks for your video. Very helpful! I just purchased a '97 Shadow 600 like yours and I'm in the process of changing all the fluids. Today, I checked the small coolant reservoir tank and it was empty. So, per the owners manual, I added some pre-mixed Honda coolant using the small filler tube. None of it went into the tank...it just ran out a small rubber tube that sticks out below the bike frame near the overflow tank. His this tube come loose somewhere? I can find no mention of it in any of the manuals. Many thanks!

Your problem might be the rubber coolant line clogged or not connected to the overflow tank.

I learned on KZbin...Use the Pink Coolant. New Technology and last 5 years. Also tell size of Drain plug. 10mm It's recommended to flush the system first, before putting in new Coolant. 😊 Just saying.

@claudioelias8285 brand is National Cycle Street Shield EX. I cannot find the part number but I did measure it. It's about 21 inches in height. Hope that helps.

Depends on you but I don't think it's necessary. Most of the time, drain and fill should be enough.

Just don't go over the top line. Anywhere between the bottom and top line should be fine.

Great video, but DO NOT USE regular coolant!!! It has to be made for motorcycles. They thake out some stuff that eats away the seals over time. Honda has a new coolent that is blue. Its great for ALL motorcycles.

It's called a motorcycle cruiser center stand lift or jack similar to a scooter center stand. You can find it online.

If he had an empty coolant can, he could have cut the plastic and made a shield and put it between the frame housing into the bowl and it wouldn't have shot out. Did it to mine and not a drop of coolant hit the ground.

Called a motorcycle cruiser center stand lift jack. I got it from Amazon but you can find it anywhere online. It works just like a scooter center stand and it very stable if you needed to do maintenance on your motorcycle.

One thing to be added; cooler reservair tank also should be filled. Radiator tank capacity is 1.6 lt and reservair tank' cap. İs 0.4 ... İt is enough to buy 1 liter cooler and another 1 liter poor water
