Just my 5 cents.... once you clean up the rotors, change your gloves for a clean ones, wrap it in a clean rag or just repeat the cleaning process once installed. You left greasy finger marks on the rotors after installation. On carbon composite ones....it's a big issue. I just had a 2019 SLR McLaren done... Thanks for your videos.!!

Do you need to remove brake fluid from the reservoir when compressing the calipers?
@RBTheMechanic3 жыл бұрын
No but if u been going to regular zap lub places for oil changes they prolly topped off ur fluid so it will over flow when u compress the piston but the trick is u can keep eye on it and if u see it gonna over flow u can suck some fluid and once ur done compressing u can pull out the fluid so fresh fluid goes down when u pump the brake peddle
@a_meyzen2 жыл бұрын
What I liked doing is talking all the fluid out after compressing the caliber and then new fresh fluid. I used a syringe to suck the fluid out

Wheel studs?
@brainwashingdetergent43223 жыл бұрын
@@RBTheMechanic yes, the studs that come through the back of the wheel hub and through the rotor, that the rim sits on and is held fast with lug nuts. I don’t see the wheel studs sticking through the rotor. So that made me wonder if the wheel studs had to be knocked out in order to do this job? cost depends on a lot of factors...type of rotors, type of pads but, I did mine with average (not top end) parts for about $135; non-MB shop wanted to charge me $350
