How to Change Gear Oil in Honda TRX 250

I have a TRX 250. Exactly what I needed to know. The manual is clear as mud.

Good thing to do is open the fill plug first before draining the oil. There are two reasons for that, sometimes the fill plug is reluctant to come out or it may even break. The second reason is the oil will drain faster when it is open.

Question, those two small rubber hoses coming from the drive shaft I noticed they weren't connected to anything, is this correct?

Mine is like that too I just noticed that it was like that when I bought it used
