How To Change/Install LED Headlights on a 2015 Ford Fusion | Front Bumper Removal

In this video, I will be showing you how to replace the headlight bulb in a 2015 Ford Fusion.
I will take you step by step and show you how to remove the front bumper and headlight and replace the bulb in your 2015 Ford Fusion And put it back together again.
We will be using the LED replacement high beam bulb. Some vehicles require a new headlight assembly conversion kit to switch to LED, but no on this car.

That is the most sensible advice I have seen about this chore. I cannot seem to learn not to do a huge amount of work trying to avoid a trivial amount of work. I have tried both ways on my own Fusion and I prefer removing the bumper cover. That doesn't mean I don't understand the urge to beat the system. You can do what you want, but if you decide not to remove that trim, expect to work harder to get a poorer result. I know that the instructions included with the LED H7 lamp tell you this, but I wish you had mentioned that there is a diffference between an incandescent bulb and an LED - namely that the plug can be connected in either polarity, which does not affect the incandescet bulb, but matters on the LED. To save yourself some frustration, turn on the lamp as soon as you plug it in. If it does not light, reverse the plug. Thanks again for the great advice.

thanks for video..changed lows, highs, and fog lights.. same car 2014 Fusion..Amazon..saved $$.. I recommend buying clips and remover tool..$20, get tool and about 100 clips, various sizes..as I broke 6..

21:11 I really don't know how you make this part look that easy. Here I thought I actually hit a home run with this video On changing out my 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE headlights and for the life of me, I cannot get bumper to align right on my car, it's like it shrunk and won't come up to the correct place, top short on both ends and won't slid on. I tried for over an hour last night before I lost sunlight. I gave and just forced enough to put rivets and a few screws. The 5 mini bolts won't go. Only 2 of 5 the other 3 holes it just drops in with nothing to grasp to screw in. 1st time working on a newer car. My older car was 2003 vw golf n 91 Plymouth voyager. 😅😅 much easier to work on especially changing headlights. Idk how I'm feeling so dumb. I've changed radiators, thermostat, power booster, alternators but the front bumper of a Ford is what stumps me?! Wtf. I'm really trying to avoid paying someone. Very limited income taking care of elderly parents and can't afford to do that.

You might need to slightly pull out on the bottom just a small bit, that should let you bring it in where it needs to be

That’s ridiculous! You don’t have to drop the bumper. You can get to it from above by removing 5-6 bolts/screws, giving yourself enough wiggle room to get your hands in there to unfasten and installed new bulbs.

You don't have to, but it is the proper way to do it and it's easier, and you have less risk for injury and or damage to your vehicle.

@@rogerrachet68 Hey Roger I just got off the phone with a Ford dealership they said that if you go with a LED that a type of resister is also needed so the online computer can recognize the LED and not think that there’s a problem with the headlights. I didn’t know this and none of the other KZbin podcasts that I saw mentioned this either I watched like 10 of them so that’s food for thought maybe. Thank you 🙏.

@@gabeeaglesland1378 this is true with most LED lights, but not with the light I used in the video, I'm sure there are applications where you will need to use a resistor with those lights, but I have not ran into any yet but you are on the right track on needing a resistor, I have a video coming up on footing light in a jeep where I did need to use a resistor in a specified that in the video.
