He will go into every single detail there is on truboing your setup. @@chrisfix Honestly, with the products you used, very little. One thing I would add, that 99.9% of people dont think to clean is the seatbelts. Pull them all the way out and wipe down with soapy water, just as you would the steering wheel. Also, I would always make sure to clean and check the trunk, tire well and the back deck by the rear window. These are other locations that most forget about that collect dirt, skin cells, hair, smoke, etc. I would highly recommend investing in at least an inexpensive steam cleaner. It will work wonders for you, especially if you do at least a couple cars a month. Amazon has some inexpensive ones for about $120. It would cut a lot of your cleaning down in half. You can use it for everything from door jambs, seat belts, everyone's favorite area between the seat and center console. It would help with the spots I mentioned and does a great job in the engine bay as well.

FYI for your future spray paint issues: paint thinner will take off the spray paint and not harm the vehicle's paint. The vehicle's clearcoat is a 2k paint (has hardener). The spray paint is a 1k paint (no hardener and technically never actually dries). If you leave thinner on the 2k paint it will eventually break it down over time. However, if you just wipe off the 1k paint and allow the thinner to evaporate or wipe it off as you go, you won't have any issues. - Buzz's Body Shop, Newton NC

Acetone or reducer, acetone is much stronger though. And will leave a thin haze which you will need to buff over to make shiny

Not even joking someone on FB marketplace gave me a 2013 Honda Accord with absolutely no problems, clean title and only 138K miles on the odometer for $1500. Was able to flip it on OfferUp for around 4500 and all I did was polish up + repaint rims. I feel I could’ve gotten more but obviously I didn’t really care much because I got it for $1500 and just wanted that cash. Apparently the lady just really wanted space in her garage, but man I really am hoping to find someone like that again

Couple extra points for sellers! If the car has anything other than a clean title noone will touch it. A rebuilt title, salvage, no title they wont buy it unless it's literally dirt cheap. Also I learned to check the vin number on engines to ensure they are the original engine that came with the car... if they dont match there's no telling how many miles it might have. Awesome video, for those thinking of flipping a car though I wouldn’t really recommend a hybrid unless you know what you’re doing. I used to work for a small dealer that specialized in hybrids. We fixed or replaced quite a few batteries and while it’s not the most difficult thing to do it can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Though your customers will never return, nor will their friends ever visit you. Long term, it takes a while to make the same money. When doing the full cleaning of the vehicle, it might not be a bad idea to start with the engine bay, then do the headlights, followed by the exterior of the car, and finishing with the interior. Doing so would keep from transferring dirt and grime back to an area you just cleaned. If you do the exterior before the engine, you could have grime and soap splatter on the exterior, making some spots not as clean. If you go to all of the effort of buffing out scratches before doing the headlights, but your hand slips while sanding the headlights, you will have to redo the area around the headlights to remove any scratches you might have added. And if you do the interior first, when you're cleaning the areas inside the doors, you might get that dirt and the plastic cleaner stuff on the seats.

Tip: clean the engine BEFORE the outside of the car chris! Also, set parking break before getting under it! Also, you can use a wet/dry vacuum instead of your fancy one (whatever you called it) Another thing NICE VIDEO!

Hey Chris, great video. I have a tip for you and your viewers regarding tire tread depth which is mentioned at 44:35. All tires have a tread wear indicator which can be seen at 45:12 of your video. You can see the 4 long vertical grooves at this angle which run around the whole tire Just above your thumb, there is a horizontal "bridge" inside that vertical groove. Once the tread of the tire has worn down to the same height as this, that means your tire needs replacing.

Chris is also concerned about the tire being too close to that mark, from what i understood If you only have a couple mm over the mark, the new owner would have to replace them very soon. Having plenty of life left on the tire easens the sell

Super informative and interesting video! A small welding suggestion would be with that mig welder, lower your wire feed speed, raise your voltage, and point the tip of the welding gun at the weld and push your weld forward instead of pulling the tip away from the weld as your welding. Honestly though, the welds you produced after grinding definitely looked good enough. Thanks!

@@chrisfix pushing the puddle with mig is best because it gives the most gas coverage. Like the other guy said raise the voltage a little bit. Maybe try to slow down a little bit too. Keep up the good work, your weld looks good for being self taught.

This video was in my recommended videos (probably because I've been researching buying used EVs) and while I know that I personally couldn't do this side hustle for multiple reasons, I watched the whole video. I have so much respect for not only what you do but the production quality of the video itself. Making people a checklist and just posting it in the description as well. So much respect. You're awesome! (Also got a good laugh at that "Meet in the middle at $2700.") This was really interesting to watch, if for nothing else, to at least see how much you can simply clean the car out and really improve it. I don't have the extractor vacuum, but it seems they're pretty easy and cheap to pick up. Basically anyone can do this if they're dedicated enough, and I see so many used cars that just don't do it. We'll see if I'm too lazy when it comes to selling my old Nissan Leaf in a year or two.

In the future to make carpets look brand new again, you can easily use a little bit of RIT dye and a water bottle with warm water and spray it down section by section. It usually takes about 24 hours to dry, but the carpet will look brand new.

Sucks but I don't want people getting in trouble and put in a bad spot. The law isn't forgiving of ignorance.

I'm sure people say this all the time, but I love you bro! As someone that didn't grow up with a father, or even a father figure, I never really learned how to work on cars as a child. I'm 39 years of age now, and I'm only just now starting to learn how to do more than just the basics like changing oil, spark plugs etc. Watching your channel as well as a few other channels on YT has really helped me build up confidence to start building my 1990 Honda Civic EF Si Hatchback! I really want to swap a K20 or K24 engine into the car, but since I'm such a rookie when it comes to working on cars, I think I'll stick with a a B16 or maybe a B20 instead since they're both much easier swaps to pull off. Thanks for your channel! I say it as though you don't have 9+ million subs making a nice career off your content, but STILL! THANKS! I am 18, and I'm not gonna say I've been watching your videos for years but I remember seeing and watching some as I got more into cars, I was 16. In my life I failed and slept through school, and now I'm going to barely graduate after recovering 27 credits. Ain't bad, but I need a way to make money and I don't enioy much of anything, mechanics or maybe even carpentry are things I'd probably be the most interested in. I like the brushes. I worked for my brother's detailing business and we always would silicone the dash. Did a lot of work for dealerships. One critique I'd give on this video would be to wash it first, and use the pressure washer to get the door jams and then do the interior, you rarely even get any water inside and would save on that wash and wax and can just silicone that or buff the paint. Or keep that wash and wax and it would be a lot quicker. We also would degrease the engine and then power wash it (carefully, yet fairly aggressively) with the engine on. Never heard of any issues from clients.

You can polish headlights too, just be careful not to overheat them. Makes a HUGE difference. Edit: Ah, I commented too early lol Edit #2: Cabin Air Filters are often overlooked and can improve the smell of the air inbound to the cabin, as well as increase efficiency of the AC and Heat.

Totally correct about cleaning being the best bang for the buck - not just in your car but in your house or at your job. Cleaning costs almost nothing and it really improves your state of mind, it can keep things from deteriorating beyond just getting dirty. There are techniques and materials to learn about that can make it quicker and easier but it's always a winning strategy to keep things clean.
