Wow - I'm surprised that I am the first to make a comment here. OK, Excellent video. Exactly what I was looking for to "consume" me. I particularly like the pace of your dialogue. Seems like most presenters are speeding through the material as fast as they possibly can or speeding up the video before pasting. I feel that I am a qualified Keyboard Customization Wizzadr now. Thanks - so much.

As a new Davinci user, I really appreciate how detailed this video was, the very best I found on the subject after going through quite a lot 😅💔. I'm struggling with transitioning from Premiere, but all my editor friends insist on Davinci as a daily driver so here we are. Thanks for taking the time to help with the basics. 🙏🏽

Right on man! Thanks for your kind words. Really happy to help someone with their transition to Resolve. Your friends are right-Premiere isn’t the NLE to go with. I also moved to Resolve after years with Avid. Never looked back. In fact, can’t imagine going back now.

Thank you so much for this video. It helped out a lot. But I still don't understand how to apply one shortkey to all of the panels and the different pannels. I struggle with it so much.

I don’t work with the panels, I know they’re nice, but I’ve just never done that as an editor. So I can’t really tell you firsthand how to make that work. I’m sorry!

For the panels shortcuts, go to Keyboard Customization > go to Commands > scroll down to Workspace (under Application) and click on it > then doubleclick on Active Panel Selection or Show Panel in Workspace (depending what you want) > assign your desired shortcut key

Is it possible that some keys cannot be assigned? Cmd ; still opens the preferences for me. Would like to assign the too ripple etc.

Yeah, I don't think you can assign Command as solo mapping. I just hopped in and tried and it won't allow that for me in Resolve Studio 19.

Hi there, i am looking for a possibility to change the Fusion Shortcut for renaming a node. By default it is F2 (which is useless on a Mac) but i can't find "rename" for fusion in the keyboard customization. Any suggestions?

You know what, I just checked on that as I have rename for nodes on the color page mapped, but there is no option in keyboard customization for Fusion. In fact, if you select F2 on the keyboard screen, it doesn't show the active mapping. So to me that means it's not available to be changed. Interesting. I do think there are parts of Resolve that are not as mature as the Color and Edit Pages. Fairlight for example isn't quite as stable, etc.

@@writedirect Ah yes. I did the same and found nothing. I remapped it for the other spaces but couldn't find it for fusion. Too bad. For the old Fusion version i found some scripts for changing shortcuts but it looks like it isn't available for the current version. Was hoping somebody knows a hack ;-)
